===== What is it =====
Uptime Kuma is a self-hosted monitoring dashboard created by Louislam.
It monitors websites, APIs, servers, and applications, with notifications via email, Telegram,
Discord, Slack, and many other channels. The UI is modern and polished.

===== Version History =====
 * **Initially deployed**: louislam/uptime-kuma:1 (v1.x — EOL, no longer maintained)
 * **Upgraded to**: louislam/uptime-kuma:2 (v2.x — current, actively maintained)
 * The v1 tag was a "latest" pointer to the unmaintained v1 branch.
   Uptime Kuma displayed a warning recommending migration to v2.
 * **Fix**: Updated docker-compose.yml to use ''louislam/uptime-kuma:2'' and redeployed.

===== Issues Encountered =====
 * **EOL version warning**: The ''louislam/uptime-kuma:1'' tag pointed to the unmaintained v1.
   Uptime Kuma showed a warning page. Fixed by upgrading to the v2 image.
 * **Image size**: The v2 image is larger (~1.7 GB) compared to v1 (~448 MB).

 * Running Uptime Kuma v2 at https://kuma.mere-mortal.net
 * First-run admin account setup required
 * Persistent volume: fatal_kuma-data

===== Planned / To Do =====
 * **Initial setup**: Create admin account and configure monitors.
 * **Notification channels**: Configure at least one notification channel.
 * **Monitor the stack**: Add monitors for the other services on this server.
 * **Backup**: The data volume contains all Kuma configuration.
